Winemaker

Joe has been making wine in Oregon for over twenty years and his passion increases with each vintage.Driven to excellence in his art, Joe Dobbes is the consummate winemaker. Raised in a small town in the north Willamette Valley and educated in Ashland, Joe is a true Oregonian and is dedicated to Oregon wines. Yet his calling began outside Oregon, in Germany and France, where Joe spent 2 1⁄2 years learning the art and science of winemaking. He apprenticed at Wiengut Erbhof Tesch, in the German Nahe region and at Domaine G. Roumier and Domaine Comtes Lafon in the Burgundy region, France, with winemasters Christophe Roumier and Dominque Lafon.

Wine Club Manager

Jojo Petro was first a close family friend.  Jojo is a horse girl, born and raised. She continues to board horses on her farm in Hubbard as well as play the role of a devoted riding mom to her talented daughter Jessica.  At Cliff Creek, Jojo is indispensable as she lovingly and meticulously coordinates your wine club shipments and tasting room events.

Sales Manager

Bethany Scully graduated from George Fox University with a degree in International Studies and Economics and a love for wine.  She continued her education through  the Chemeketa Northwest Viticulture Center in the wine marketing and branding program.

She was born in the Willamette Valley, she spent most of her childhood in Southern California and for that she retained an affinity for the sunny dry climate of Southern Oregon. She began working for Cliff Creek in 2008 as a tasting room associate in Carlton and then became manager.  She transitioned in 2009 to working in direct and outside sales in Oregon and to national sales in 2010.

Event Coordinator

Laura Hill is a retired architect and full time foodie, dedicated to discovering the best pairing for each of our wines. She has contributed recipes to numerous food centered publications. She also manages her small farm and rides competitively as a horse driver.

Newberg Tasting Room

Tracy Smith grew up in Southern California and slowly inched her way north until landing in Newberg, Oregon.  She attended UC Berkeley with a double major in French and Dance, two skills that you might observe her employing at opportune times in the tasting room.  Her two young children keep her busy during the week, so come in some Saturday or Sunday and engage her in scintillating adult conversation!  While not at Cliff Creek or chasing the kids, Tracy enjoys cooking, gardening, canning, and karaoke.

Newberg Tasting Room

Hannah Corum is a Willamette Valley native and University of Oregon graduate whose enthusiasm for great wine and general zest for life have made her essential part of our hospitality team in our Carlton. 
She is the official maven of social media for Cliff Creek online and the unofficial director of hospitality and first impressions in the tasting room.  In her spare time, she enjoys baking and volunteering. Beyond her passion for cupcakes, she has a heart for children and a love of glitter.

Newberg Tasting Room

Amber McKenna attended Linfield College where she studied Mass Communication and English.  She now resides in NE Portland where her hobbies include food, music, coffee, beer, wine and bicycles.  Amber is the NW Sales Rep for Emerita health and beauty products by day, and wine pourer/story teller by night.  Come in some weekend and say hello!

LLC Southern Oregon Vineyard Manager

Chris Hubert, A native of Colorado, was educated at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo. He worked as a Professional Crop Advisor for Crop Care Services in Napa before taking on the role of Vineyard Manager at Louis Martini Vineyard in St. Helena, California. Hubert has been in southern Oregon for the past 8 years. He and his wife Heather live in Medford.
