This week marks the release of our flagship wines at Cliff Creek Cellars. We are thrilled with how our 2011 Syrah and 2011 Claret turned out.
The Syrah is 100% estate grown at Sams Valley Vineyard in Gold Hill, Oregon. It will be named a “Cellar Selection” in the February issue of the Oregon Wine Press. While this wine is balanced and ready to drink now, it can be aged for another 10+ years.
Our 2011 Claret is our Left Bank Bordeaux blend. Like the Syrah, it is 100% estate grown at Sams Valley Vineyard in Gold Hill, Oregon. This year it consists of 38% Cabernet Sauvignon, 35% Cabernet Franc and 27% Merlot. Earlier this week we learned that it won Gold in the San Francisco Chronicle Int’l Wine Competition.
Make sure to stop by either tasting room and try these great wines! We are open from 12pm-5pm Thursday-Monday.
